During my first two years of college I ended up skiing with her on the UVSC Ski Team. We spent 3 days out of the week at Sundance. We both have the same pace when we're skiing, and to this day she is the only girl that I like skiing with (besides my mom).
The first time that a member of her family passed away was when we were in 10th grade. Her sister died in a car accident. I had never had a friend that had to deal with death before. About 2 years ago her mom passed away from cancer. I remember calling her one day to ask how her mom was doing and she started crying and told me that she only had a week to live. I felt like all I could do was cry with her. Today I found out that her brother Hutch, who was our soccer coach when we were young, passed away in a car accident last Saturday.
I don't know how people deal with the horrible pain that comes from a family member passing away (let alone 3). I hate that bad things happen to good people. I remember going to her mom's funeral and thinking, "nothing else horrible could possibly happen to this family." My heart aches so much for her and her family.

I had no idea about Hutch, that's awful. I totally remember him being our soccer coach--that was good times. If you see/talk to Cashia please pass on our condolences.
Yeah, it is really crappy. I definitely will.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that Hil.
However, thanks for saying that skiing with me and Rach is a pain in your arse (wink). At least I know I'm fun to ride up the lift with...right?
