Our home

I'm sure many of you have lived in houses/apartments that are not necessarily where you would want to live for the rest of your lives... After Dennen and I got married we lived in Alaska for a summer in a hotel room. I don't mind small spaces at all, but all of the dwellings we have lived in have been old. Sometimes older homes are designed in a very unique way (as in, not much thought into design).

I'm usually not one to stereotype, but in most cases a woman would not design a house with exposed pipes, and vents (ugliness). This would be a man's doing. If the space is functional and they can live in it men don't really care what it looks like. I've seen this with my husband when I decorate... He says he appreciates that I decorate, but he doesn't really see how it is vital to his survival.

Dennen and I made a video clip of our funny little basement apartment so that you can all see why someday Dennen might be a hunchback due to the design of our living quarters.

That made my day. Kind of an obstacle course and weight lose plan for Dennen. In Japan they design apartments for elderly people that are purposely hard to use. It suppose to make you think.

hahahaha....oh my gosh, the paper plate plastered into the wall!! So stinkin funny! You guys definitely have a one-of-a-kind place :) But I love how you decorated it! Where did you get those hanging round ball things in your living room?

Ha that looks like my old appartment in boston. Our appartment that aaron and i live in is only 800 sq feet too.

FYI, the paper plate on the wall is actually a cap for a stove/furnace or other out dated heating appliance. If it weren't plastered over you'd be getting a serious draft into your place.

Ditto Maggie.

And it's not a paper plate. It's probably a very light tin.

I think they actually made them for that purpose back in the day.
