Whitetrash Weekend

Since Hilary was out of town during our 2nd anniversary (May 5th), it was my job to plan a super elegant and sexy weekend escape for when she got back. Unfortunately, elegant and sexy isn't my forté. What our anniversary celebration lacked in elegance was made up for in good old hill-billy fun: going to a demo-derby and spending the night in a ghetto trailer at some hot springs in Idaho. Check it out:

It's Derby Time!
*Shout out to Trey for letting me sport his shades.

The contestants...

and the carnage. Car #28 was immaculate at the beginning of the scrum, but #44 hit him once and knocked his rear wheel off and then finished the job by flipping him with his next hit. It was spectacular to behold.

Here is a little video clip of the final battle.

And then it was off to the hot springs in Idaho! We spent a night in "Retroville", as our trailer was named. A true off-grid American classic. No electricity, no door lock, no bathroom, no running water. Every woman's dream...

Haha, I love it! I went to a demolition derby a couple of years ago and it was seriously awesome. You're trailer looks very fancy and fun, too :) Happy late anniversary!
