I wanted to make this post to praise Dennen's 1st birthday cake that he has ever made!! Our friend Trey turned the big 25 and Dennen wanted to make a cake for him. Trey thinks the keyboard cat is pretty hilarious (search for it on youtube), so Dennen tirelessly planned out how to recreate it in a cake form. Here it is in all its glory...
Sadly, the frosting didn't turn out quite as we expected. It was a bit more runny and hard to work with than one would want when making a cake for the first time. Even with that slight set back it turned out great didn't it? Good job baby!

I love it! That's pretty darn good for a first attempt...or even for not a first attempt. Maybe Dennen has found his true calling in life as a cake maker :)
hmm...cake maker...I have many cake tins in my storage room that Dennen might like to take a look at...
