Snowshoeing at Bryce Canyon

For presidents day we took a little trip down to Bryce Canyon with my parents. It was the Winter Festival when we were down there, so there was a bunch going on. They had snowshoeing, cross country skiing, kayaking demos in the swimming pool at Ruby's Inn where we stayed, and more.

The drive down was less than enjoyable. Finn threw up 5 times (threw up/barfed/up-chucked, not spit up, it was the whole enchilada). A three and a half hour drive turned into quite a bit longer. We definitely got a taste of what it's like to travel with a kid.

We got a foot of snow on Friday night which was awesome! The top right picture is before the storm. The bounteous amount of snow we got was just perfect for snowshoeing. Finn pretty much slept in the pack when we went out, so I guess he enjoyed it too.

Finn had a great time with his grandparents too! More energy coming from other people to entertain a baby is always welcome. He had a lot of encouragement to try crawling and I think he's going to get it down soon.

We can't wait to go on more trips with our little bug!

maybe don't feed him a whole enchilada next time :). One year we drove home from AZ (13hours) and W had diarehea or however its spelled, the entire ride home. We finally got a shower curtian and wrapped his carseat in it so we didn't have to scrub it every 1 or so. Traveling with little kids is hard! You guys always do so many fun things! Looks like he had a good time.

Wow what a great family trip, and all of your snow hats are amazing! I've got to order some from you. Sorry to hear about the ralphage from Finn, poor tyke. Henry had that happen on the way home from our trip to CA. Where did you get your awesome baby back pack? We're planning a reunion at Bryce Canyon next year and are hoping to have numero two before then.

Ugh, puke is bad enough at home, but in a car is AWFUL. Macie did that on a drive to Idaho once and I didn't think we would ever be able to get the nasty smell out of our car. (Luckily we did.)

Looks like it was a blast, though, minus the drive! I love all of the pictures of Finn all bundles up and him sleeping in his pack. Cute!
