So far...

Finn had a scope done last Tuesday. His doctor found a blockage in his duodenum (small intestine). He was admitted to Primary Children's that night. The next day he had a cat-scan to see what was causing the blockage; a tumor, his pancreas pressing on his intestine, or a duodenal web. He also had a picc-line put in that same day to start giving him nutrition before his surgery. The radiologist found from the cat-scan that it was a duodenal web blockage. Finn had surgery to remove it at 3 pm on Thursday. He is doing really well and was able to start the tube feeds through his nose today. We go to the playroom here quite a bit. I just have to push his Iv pole fast enough to keep up with him :) Well, that's all for now. I'll let you know when we bust out of this joint!

Oh and here are some pictures.

The day after surgery. He was on morphine and toradol, so he pretty much looked like this for a couple days.

2 days after surgery. Moving around more.

3 days after surgery. Finally a smile!

I am so sorry about Finn. He is such a cute little guy. I hope that his surgery is a success and that he no longer has problems.

Those first pictures honestly break my heart. It's so hard to see little ones go through things like that. But I'm glad he is smiling and starting to feel better. What a trooper. I hope the surgery is s success and that things start to get easier for little Finn. (And for you guys!)
