Come to find out, Christmas gets a whole lot more fun when you have a kid. For the past few weeks Finn has been running on pure Christmas joy! My brother is in town from Boston, and both of my sisters, and brother-in-law have been here as well. Finn has tons of fun with all of them! Although I think Rachel might be his favorite so far...
Dennen and I have been able to spend lots of time with both families which has been really nice. We keep thinking that we'll be gone by May, so we are trying to spend a lot of time with family and friends. Speaking of moving, Dennen has been accepted to 2 schools in Pennsylvania. We're still waiting to hear back from the one in Tennessee. And on the 21st of this month I'm going with Dennen to Maine for another interview. We're super stoked to start a new chapter of our lives, wherever it may take us.
Now for an update on Finn. He is doing great!! We still can't believe the change that has taken place. I remember when the surgeon came and talked to us after his surgery and said, "We've fixed Finn's problem." In my mind I thought, "Yeah right. After 18 months of puking? That's kind of a rather big claim to make." But honestly, he likes to eat now (something I thought would never happen). He actually has favorite foods! Weird. I didn't think that could happen either. Before his surgery he would basically just eat foods out of necessity, not for enjoyment.
Some of his favorite foods are: pomegranate seeds, frozen blueberries, peas, cheese, salami, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, black beans, rice, and apples. Oh, and he really likes grape juice milk. Yep you heard right. Grape juice milk. It's the only way he will drink any milk now. I tried chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and finally just mixed his grape juice with milk. He drinks it all the time. And yes, it's disgusting (we've tried it).

So happy to know Finn is doing great now!!! and so happy for you all getting ready for a new adventure with school. Well be getting ready for a school change soon too. Hope your pregnancy has been going well for you. Happy New Year :)
I seem to remember both of my kids taking a shine to Rachel when they were younger.
Congrats on Dennen getting into school. I hope you love your new adventure, I know I have loved our time in KY. I am happy Finn is doing better, I am sure it is so nice to have a baby that eats.
Yes, grape juice milk DOES sound nasty, but hey, whatever it takes, right?! :) I'm so glad you guys had a great Christmas and that Finn is still doing great with eating. And I really, really love your teal dress. It's not fair you look that cute when you're pregnant. :)
A very joyful time for me and your dad!
