Leaf Peeping

Definition of leaf peeping (according to Wikipedia): an informal term, commonly used in the United States, for people who travel to view and photograph the fall foliage in areas where foliage changes colors, particularly New England. The term "Leaf Peeper" is used both with appreciation (for those businesses that benefit from the millions that pour into New England each fall) and with disdain (from those who have to use the roads that are popular with leaf peepers). Hobbyists who get together for leaf peeping commonly refer to their gatherings as Leaf Peepshows.

Today, we went on a drive through the New England hills to find some pretty leaves to photograph. We drove for quite awhile and didn't quite find the spectacular leaves we were looking for. It wasn't until we came back to Portland that we found the jackpot. Evergreen Cemetery was amazing! We frequently walk there as a family, and it is so pretty. This year, I didn't want to miss getting pictures of the leaves (because it seems like I always do). I'm so happy we saw some beautiful fall leaves today! Oh, and I really like Finn's serious "cemetery face" (you'll see it near the bottom).

In other news, "Smile and Wave" is doing a giveaway for my shop. The winner gets a $50
