A Slice of Life

This is what our place looks like 95% of the time. For those of you that have known me for a long time, you know that I've always been somewhat of a clean freak... All growing up, my room was immaculate, bed always made, clothes put away, I even did a monthly cleanse to get rid of unneeded "stuff". Sometimes I got made fun of so I'd purposely make it a little messy.

Apparently, when you have a kid all that goes out the window. If you don't let the little things go, they can drive you nuts. To a point, trying to keep a home super clean with a toddler is next to impossible. And you know what? That's okay. I love my new Finn induced messy house.

Amen to all of this! I am super clean too and having kids... well, I had to learn to relax! Although, I always have to have it cleaned up at the end of the day so I can stay sane. :) And I spy a cute little bus. I must get one.

It looks and clothes together. Pretty neat for a 2 year old.

Yep. We face the same reality/battle here too. By the way, Happy Birthday!

I know how that feels! Hardest part of being a mom has been figuring out the balance to teaching them to be clean and not scarring them into becoming clean freaks themselves.

I miss those days with my little mess maker right behind me undoing all the order!

i see order:
vehicles on the wood floor,

and a little heater to keep it cozy ♥

looks like our place. I say if they are happy and entertained playing by themselves, they can make all the mess they want.

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose house looks like that the majority of the time! It's amazing how quickly these little ones can get out EVERYTHING in sight.
