It could be worse

I've had a cold since the last week of December. I don't usually get sick. The last time I had a cold was when we were in Peru. Only when I try to sleep and can't breathe does it get a little bothersome.

As I was thinking about the non-fatal virus that has entered my body, I realized that it could be MUCH worse. When we were in Peru this past summer Dennen got horribly sick with food poisoning. As he was moaning in our bed, he told me that he had never been so sick in ALL his life. When he was serving a mission for our church in Brazil, he didn't even get as sick as he was in Peru (I know, hard to believe).

Here is the dreaded beast that made him sick (please click on the picture to see this pig in all its' glory).

I knew Dennen would be a-okay in a week or so. The family that we were staying with thought otherwise... I have never seen such a concerned group of people in all my life, and we really appreciated their love and concern. I was constantly going with them to get medicine for Dennen. We even went to a pharmacy to get injections of medicine for him. Every day at 1:30PM and 5:00PM a girl would come and give Dennen a shot in his buttock. At one point, he even got so sick that we ended up going to the hospital.

Here is Dennen before we headed off to the hospital. It took every fiber of his being to get out of bed. And no, it wasn't that cold, Dennen's body just thought it was.

Of coarse I had to make a movie when he was sick.

I am grateful that I don't have food poisoning, or any sort of terminal illness. I think being sick all the time would be an extremely difficult thing to cope with. Here's to staying healthy!

That pig is STUMPY!!! (haha...remember Stumpy from ER??) I don't know if the pig's bloody, stumpy legs or its nasty teeth make me more sick. Ew. :) Sorry about your cold...I don't care if colds aren't life-threatening, they are annoying as all heck! Hope you feel better soon.

Hilary ,What kind of glue did you use on the magnets? One separated from the paper and I want to fix it correctly.

I used some sort of tacky glue in a gold bottle. I'm pretty sure it's just like Elmer's Glue. Anything that dries clear should work.

Poor Dennen :( I'm always afraid that will happen to me if I go out of the country but it won't stop me though. I really want to go to Brazil in the future did see where Joey served. I bet you want to go there too to see where Dennen served. Hopefully we'll make it there someday.
