I often ride the bus to school in the morning. Needless to say, I still have a hard time knowing the exact time that I need to be at the bus stop (all our clocks have different times). This morning I went rather early to make sure that I would not miss the bus.
Early spring time weather has hit hard in Logan. This means quite a bit of rain, and probably snow at some point as well. As I stood at the bus stop, vehicles were swishing down the rainy road. Then, all of a sudden a blue Toyota Corolla started to slow down and pull over to where I was standing soaked in the rain like a wet dog.
"Who could this be?" I thought. As my mind raced as to who this could be, the person rolled down their window. It was an older gentleman who was unfamiliar. He said nothing, but handed a black umbrella to me. I said thanks, and he quickly drove off as fast as he had pulled over.
What a selfless, kind act of service. How many times have I driven by someone who needed my help, someone who needed an umbrella, or maybe money, food or work? I am going to pass this umbrella on. Hopefully that person can pass it on to someone else, and it can continue on to help many sopping wet people.
