I used to rely on an alarm clock (the traditional kind that go beep beep beep). Those days are long gone. Why you may ask? Well, as of a couple months ago a bird has taken over the responsibility of waking me up. I like to imagine that he or she looks like this.
Thank goodness this bird goes off at around 7:30 (which is when I'd be getting up anyway) otherwise I'd have to strangle it. The sound that I'm greeted to each morning is "wee woo." This little gem of an alarm clock probably goes off for about 5 minutes or so.
It's not too loud, and it's much better than a traditional alarm clock that raises my blood pressure and anxiety levels until I slam it off. Thanks little friend.

Oh man, I can relate to this. Before I got married and lived at my mom and dadʻs, there was a birdhouse outside my bedroom window. Filled with baby birds. Loud ones. Every single morning they chirp-chirp-chirped until it woke me up. Only they werenʻt as nice as your 7:30 am bird...they were more like 5:30 am birds and I totally wanted to shoot them! :)
Pretty soon it'll be "Wake up! I want breakfast!"
