Fall Festivities

My parents came to visit us (aka Finn) the last week of October. We are so grateful for all the visitors we've had come to Maine. It has helped us not miss our families so much.

One fun thing that we did with my parents while they were here, was the Pumpkin Festival at L.L. Bean in Freeport. There were something like 5,000 plus pumpkins. It was super cool to see! Finn even did some pumpkin bowling.

We also went to the awesome Children's Museum downtown, rode the carousel at the mall, and ate lots of tasty sea food.

Today is the one year anniversary of Finn's surgery. I can't believe his throwing up is no more. When you're in the midst of tough times, it sometimes seems like they will never end. I will be forever grateful to live in a country where Finn was able to have a highly skilled surgeon perform the surgery at an amazing children's hospital. I am also so grateful for a God who is mindful of our family. Here is a picture of Finn a year ago after his surgery.

I have to share this new brother and sister's, singing, music making, amazingness "The Oh Hellos."
I highly recommend buying their album. This whole album is awesome, but two of my favorites are, "I Have Made Mistakes" and "Wishing Well."

You guys HAVE had a lot of visitors - that's so awesome. I bet it makes living away from family a lot easier. I'm glad you had fun with your parents! Also, HOORAY for a year of no puking! And amen and amen about being grateful to live in a country with skilled doctors and childrens hospitals. What a blessing that is.
